About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HSE Advisor to join our team at Laing O'Rourke, a leading engineering and construction specialist. As a key member of our HSE team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our project teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert HSE advice and guidance to project teams to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and legislation.
  • Support the HSE Manager in developing and implementing effective HSE strategies and plans.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with our Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and legislation.
  • IOSH Managing Safely in Construction or SMSTS certification, with a NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate as a minimum.
  • Member of a professional body, such as IOSH, with a minimum of Tech IOSH membership.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
