Director - Indirect Infrastructure Investments

Job Summary
The Non-disclosed Alternative Investment Team is seeking a seasoned investment professional to join their ranks as a Director - Indirect Infrastructure Investments. This role will involve active participation in the screening, evaluation, and monitoring of European private funds, with a focus on reviewing new investment opportunities across the risk spectrum.
Main Responsibilities
- Investment Opportunity Screening: Review and assess European private infrastructure fund opportunities based on the Strategic Investment Plan.
- General Partner Engagement: Attend meetings with General Partners (fund managers) to collect information about their strategy and investments.
- Due Diligence: Participate in the due diligence of potential investments through on-site and/or virtual sessions, evaluating and assessing various risks throughout the process.
- Investment Presentations: Present investment opportunities to the Global Investment Committee through oral and written presentations.
- Database Management: Build and maintain databases of fund and market information to inform analysis and investment recommendations.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Track the activity and performance of existing funds and their underlying portfolio companies to assess whether the managers are on track to achieve their investment target.
- Market Research: Conduct private infrastructure market research to help determine attractive geographies and sectors.
Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in European private infrastructure investment, with a good understanding of investment strategies, risks, and drivers, ideally with a few years' experience in primary fund investment specifically fund manager selection.
- Education: Strong academic background in finance, economics, or related field with advanced studies.
- Skills: Excellent command of MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), with advanced Excel and financial modeling skills. Outstanding analytical, written and verbal communication skills; a second European language is a plus.
- Personal Qualities: Detail oriented, pro-active, and able to excel in a highly collaborative global team. Flexible team player able to adapt to change. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
