Job Summary

CPP Investments is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Investment Associate to join our team. As an Infrastructure Investment Associate, you will play a key role in evaluating infrastructure investment opportunities, conducting research, developing recommendations, participating in the execution of investments, and monitoring and managing investments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investment Opportunity Analysis
    • Conduct thorough research and analysis of infrastructure investment opportunities, including financial modeling, due diligence, and valuation analysis.
    • Develop and present investment recommendations to the investment committee.
  • Investment Execution
    • Assist in the execution of infrastructure investments, including liaising with investment partners and advisors.
  • Investment Monitoring and Management
    • Monitor the financial and operational performance of infrastructure investments.
    • Identify and implement performance improvement initiatives at portfolio companies.
  • Team Development
    • Participate in and contribute to weekly departmental meetings.
    • Share knowledge and best practices with the team.
Requirements
  • Commensurate experience in investment banking or private equity with an emphasis on infrastructure.
  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree and a track record of academic achievement.
  • Strong research, financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills.
  • Professionalism and integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business relationship skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and initiative.
  • Good judgment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Team player who enjoys a high-performance culture.
  • Willingness to travel.
