Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Paediatric Liaison Team within the CAMHS Psychology Service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing assessment and intervention services to children with complex presentations due to comorbidities.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and develop the Occupational Therapy role, provision, and pathways within the CAMHS OT Leads' support.
- Offer assessment and intervention to children with complex presentations due to comorbidities.
- Work in conjunction with paediatric teams and other community and mental health professionals to deliver a joined-up care pathway to meet the specific needs of the child and their family.
- Provide consultation and advice to clinicians and acute wards in respect of complex and challenging presentations.
- Develop training programs for staff at the Leicester Royal Infirmary to enhance understanding and integration of physical and mental health care in the acute hospital.
- Participate in professional and safeguarding meetings as required.
- Contribute to audits and quality improvement activities and actively participate in service development.
