We are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Therapy service. Our team provides urgent community response to support patients in staying at home and avoiding hospital admission, as well as rehabilitation services for those returning home from hospital. We also offer community therapy for patients with non-urgent routine needs.
The successful candidate will work autonomously, providing assessment and treatment/rehabilitation in patients' own homes. Our team consists of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Technical Instructors who work closely together, holding daily multidisciplinary team meetings to support patients in a collaborative way.
We prioritize continuing professional development through clinical supervision, annual personal development plans, and in-service training. Supervision of students is actively encouraged, and all staff are fully supported by the Clinical and Operational Team.
We are looking for an innovative, talented, and adaptable individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality care in a community setting. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly and respond to changing needs at short notice.
Key Responsibilities:
- To conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with diverse needs and presentations in a community setting.
- To work as a specialist clinician, utilizing and developing Occupational Therapy skills to deliver high standards of practice.
- To apply the Occupational Therapy process within a multidisciplinary format, providing specialist assessment and treatment in clinical care pathways.
- To take a lead in developing the Service, promoting high-quality clinical practice and ensuring professional standards are maintained.
- To deliver a specialist Occupational Therapy Service to patients in various settings, requiring flexibility and adaptability in recognizing the complexity of these environments.
