About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced rheumatology specialist to join our team. As a Senior Fellow in Rheumatology, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our rheumatology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run outpatient clinics in rheumatology and review inpatients
  • Hold the rheumatology on-call bleep and provide advice to GPs and secondary care specialists
  • Supervise IMT doctors and participate in our education programme, including teaching medical students
  • Develop skills in musculoskeletal ultrasound and research
Requirements
  • Primary medical qualification (e.g. MB, MBBS)
  • GMC licence to practice in the UK
  • MRCP Part 1
  • Desirable: MRCP Part 2, previous experience of postgraduate rheumatology, working in an outpatient setting, and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
