University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our rheumatology team as a Senior Fellow in Rheumatology. This is an exciting opportunity to develop specialist training across the spectrum of rheumatic disease, including the management of patients with inflammatory arthritis and connective tissue diseases in our nationally regarded rheumatology department.
Key Responsibilities- Run outpatient clinics in rheumatology and review inpatients
- Hold the rheumatology on-call bleep and provide advice to GPs and secondary care specialists
- Supervise IMT doctors who rotate through rheumatology as part of their medical/GP rotation
- Develop skills in musculoskeletal ultrasound and research
- Primary medical qualification (e.g. BM, BMBS)
- GMC licence to practice in the UK
- MRCP Part 1
- Desirable: MRCP Part 2, previous experience of postgraduate rheumatology, and experience of working in an out-patient setting and running out-patient clinics
