Job Opportunity: Senior Fellow in Neuro Intensive Care

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fellow in Neuro Intensive Care to join our team. As a Senior Fellow, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care, leading daily ward rounds, and participating in senior decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily ward rounds on Neuro ICU and participate in senior decision-making
  • Further training in practical procedures relevant to Neuro Intensive Care
  • Specific training in neuro ICU procedures and monitoring
  • Active participation in Unit and Departmental teaching
  • Opportunities for neurology, neuroanaesthesia, neurosurgery, and neuro intensive care research

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working in anaesthesia and critical care within a UK NHS Trust
  • Successful attainment of minimal anaesthesia competence
  • Competence at initial airway management of the critically unwell ICU patient
  • Proficiency at arterial line insertion and central venous cannulation
  • Interest in the speciality and knowledge of common neurological emergencies and relevant critical care syndromes
