Role Overview:

The Data Strategy, Capability, and Oversight Team (DSCO) plays a pivotal role in the transformation journey of our organization. This team is responsible for establishing the strategic direction for data management, including the future operational framework. Additionally, we ensure compliance with legal standards regarding data collection, storage, and disposal, while also supporting frontline and intelligence operations.

This position is situated within the DSCO Hub, a compact team that provides essential support to DSCO. Our responsibilities include embedding internal structures and governance, fostering team development, and enhancing our brand and culture to create an appealing work environment. The Hub also manages administrative tasks related to event planning, meeting coordination, and providing support across the broader team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute the DSCO risk management strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational risk frameworks.
  • Oversee the daily management of the DSCO risk register, including the identification, documentation, monitoring, and reporting of risks and issues, with appropriate escalation.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on risk management, offering guidance to colleagues on best practices.
  • Participate in relevant risk forums as directed by the Hub lead.
  • Facilitate the development and transfer of risk management knowledge and skills within the team.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Demonstrated expertise in Risk Management within a project or PMO context.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the proficiency to interpret data and formulate recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to produce clear and concise documentation under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks and delivering high-quality results while managing competing demands.
  • Adaptability to work effectively in dynamic and ambiguous environments, demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach.
  • Self-driven, organized, and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
