Victim Support Specialist

As a Victim Support Specialist, you will serve as the designated worker providing continuous trauma-informed assistance to victims and witnesses through both telephonic and in-person interactions. Your role will involve establishing and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with victims, including adults, children, and young individuals, by offering tailored practical and emotional support.
Your mission will be to inform, consult, and empower victims, ensuring they feel supported through a personalized and comprehensive support package that addresses their unique risks and needs. Collaboration with various agencies will be essential to guarantee a solid referral pathway is in place.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver services to victims and witnesses who have consented to receive ongoing support.
- Manage a caseload of assigned victims and witnesses, including cases involving children and young individuals, as well as medium and high-risk situations.
- Act as the assigned and named Caseworker, working consistently and progressively with each victim or witness.
- Collaborate with the Victim Service team to ensure the provision of high-quality restorative justice, offering information and explaining the principles and processes of restorative justice to identifiable victims of crime and offenders.
Qualifications:
As a Trauma-Informed Caseworker, you will provide specialized services to victims of crime, fostering high-quality relationships through a supportive approach that builds confidence and trust. You will assist the team in enhancing their skills and knowledge to support adults, children, and young individuals through collaborative coaching and casework.

Additional Information:
Salary: Competitive annual salary
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
