Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified chef to join Barchester Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare services in the UK. As a Bank Chef, you will have the chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, delivering high-quality food and hospitality to our residents.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious and well-balanced menus, using fresh seasonal produce to deliver hotel/restaurant standards.
  • Work with residents to tailor menus to their individual needs, ensuring a person-centered approach to hospitality.
  • Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring smooth operation and high standards.
  • Contribute to a warm and welcoming environment within our home, promoting a sense of community and well-being.

Person Specification
  • A personable and warm approach, with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents.
  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team.
  • A good understanding of nutrition and experience of working with fresh seasonal food.
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home.
  • Good understanding of HACCP.
