We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at BaxterStorey. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality and service.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that meet the needs and preferences of our clients, while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Employee Management: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of chefs, cooks, and front-of-house staff, providing guidance and coaching to ensure excellent performance.
- Inventory and Cost Control: Monitor and manage stock levels, ordering supplies, and implementing cost-saving measures to optimize kitchen efficiency.
- Customer Relations: Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, food safety protocols, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Budget and Financial Management: Develop and manage kitchen budgets, reporting on financial performance, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Menu Development and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with culinary trends, incorporating new ideas into menus, and driving innovation in our kitchen operations.
- Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and food preparation processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in a senior culinary role.
- Excellent creative culinary skills, leadership, and team management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in food cost management, knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment, with a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
