Clinical Support Worker

About the Role

The Clinical Support Worker will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, providing care duties for patients in support of a registered nurse or Operating Department practitioner (ODP). This role requires the ability to work unsupervised, but with the wider theatre team available for reference at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out assigned duties involving direct and indirect patient care within the theatre environments.
  • Perform physical, technical, and emotional aspects of patient care in an efficient, effective, and responsible manner.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfill the requirements of continuing professional development.

Requirements

  • SVQ III in peri-operative care or working towards, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Valid UK/EU/EEA driving license.
