POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Electrical Engineer plays a crucial role in partnering with the Engineering Team to ensure the delivery of safe and efficient vessels for operational use.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  1. Licensed electrician or electrical engineer.
  2. Familiarity with British Wiring Regulations or equivalent standards.
  3. Extensive experience with 12V, 24V, and 415V 3-Phase electrical systems.
  4. Proficient understanding of engine-driven power generation systems.
  5. Experience in HVAC systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and ensure compliance with the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
  2. Support Senior Marine Engineers in overseeing and coordinating engineering teams during shifts for optimal service delivery.
  3. Lead technical advancements for vessels and facilities to promote efficient operations.
  4. Maintain and service all electrical systems aboard vessels and engineering facilities.
  5. Document and report all faults and repairs in the compliance system as necessary.
  6. Conduct thorough safety checks on all electrical systems in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  7. Ensure all vessels remain operational through effective maintenance, prioritizing tasks during less busy periods.
  8. Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on vessels, accommodating reasonable requests for additional support.
  9. Collaborate with the senior engineering team to identify, implement, and assess technical enhancements for the fleet and facilities, providing comprehensive analysis and reporting as directed by the Head of Engineering.
  10. Execute any other relevant tasks or reasonable requests from the Head of Department or senior management.
