About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer Lead to join our team at Egis Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers to deliver electrical designs and projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers to deliver electrical designs and projects
  • Undertake the role of Chief Electrical Manager (CEM) and/or Chief Resident Engineer (CRE)
  • Develop and implement design solutions from feasibility to As Built
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with design assurance processes
  • Grow and develop the technical capability of the team
  • Mentor and train engineers in CRE roles and discipline training
  • Nurture a culture of quality and excellence within the team
  • Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Member of an engineering institute and holds Engineering Council Professional Registration
  • Experience in undertaking the CEM/CRE/DPE role
  • Experience in managing works in accordance with NR-L2-RSE-02009, Engineering Management of Projects
  • At least 15 years' experience in the railway industry
  • Experience in rail station electrical services design and coordination
  • Comprehensive knowledge of British Standards and Regulations, and Rail Standards, such as Network Rail, HS2 and TfL
  • Ability to deliver work to a programme and budget
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
  • Ability to train and upskill team members
  • Expert communication, organisation, and collaboration abilities
  • Proficient at leading meetings and presenting to clients, stakeholders, colleagues, subcontractors, suppliers etc.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical systems from a technical, design, installation, buildability, and maintenance perspective
  • Knowledge of engineering software tools including Trimble/Amtech Pro Design, Dialux or Relux
  • Knowledge of procurement activities and lead times
