Business Rules Analyst

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Functional Business Analyst with a strong background in Business Rules Management Systems (BRMS) and insurance domain expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rule Configuration and Management: Engage in the configuration and enhancement of rulebooks, ensuring they meet business requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the business team in a BRMS environment to facilitate rule authoring, validation, testing, investigation, and deployment.
- Documentation: Write and maintain business rules within the rules engine, ensuring clarity and accessibility for stakeholders.
- Client Engagement: Assist the business team in implementing rule-based products for clients across various regions.
- Education and Training: Provide training to customers and end-users on the rules environment, structure, and the significance of business rules, promoting the benefits of effective rule management.
- Performance Improvement: Take responsibility for harvesting and designing business rules as part of performance enhancement initiatives.
- Decision Management: Experience in developing and maintaining Decision Management services and Decision Intelligence systems.
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with tools such as IBM ODM, Inrule, Drools, FICO Blaze Advisor, or similar products designed for rules management.
- Service Requests: Demonstrate the ability to manage work requests and service tickets efficiently.
- Business Needs Analysis: Analyze business needs as they relate to business rules, translating them into configurable rule sets while considering system impacts.
- Project Flexibility: Exhibit adaptability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Rule Structuring: Organize rules based on logical models, domain, and taxonomy within the BRMS.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Business Rule Analysis within a BRMS environment.
- IT Project Management: Exposure to the IT project management lifecycle is advantageous.
- Team Management: Experience in managing diverse teams across departments and time zones.
- Insurance Industry Experience: Specialized experience in the insurance sector is highly preferred.
Location: This position may require support for US time zones when working in an offshore capacity.
