Main Purpose of the Job

The Sales Support team plays a crucial role in the sales and onboarding journey, supporting the Commercial Teams, Partnership Teams, and Account Management Teams with support surrounding the sales cycle of merchants. The Sales Support team is a disciplined, highly trained department with a skillset to support and own onboarding, pre-underwriting, go live, and general sales support enquiries.

Sales Support Specialist Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Process and manage CRM applications, perform initial assessments, onboard & quality check for underwriting. Relay requests between Underwriters and Partners/Merchants professionally
  • Ensure documents align with Merchant Acceptance Policies, demonstrating attention to detail
  • Update Underwriters rapidly to support quick turnaround times
  • Regularly check CRM Platform queues and ensure that Sales/Partners/Account Managers are actively contacting Partner/Merchants so applications go live quickly
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance team adaptability
  • Attend pipeline and underwriting company calls, offering feedback to support onboarding
  • Collaborate with internal teams on Boarding/Billing processes as needed
  • Handle assigned action tickets in Zendesk, ensuring timely completion within SLAs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships, representing the Trust Payments brand
  • Process Requests for Change forms (RFCs) for Merchants/Partners within SLA and follow up on outcomes
  • Provide regular reports on achievements and sharing feedback to management
  • Attend meetings with Support team to review priorities and training needs

Sales Support Specialist Qualities and Skills Required

Key Qualifications:

  • Prepared for some ad hoc travel between Trust Payments locations
  • Dedicated and driven self-starter with professional office environment experience
  • Payments experience, not essential but preferred
  • Willingness to learn and engage to meet objectives
  • High levels of focus and attention to detail
  • Team player with strong written and verbal communication
  • Experience of Zendesk and CRMs, not essential but preferred
  • Good Proficiency in written and spoken English (other languages considered an asset)
