Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Programme Assistant to join our team at Pepperdine University London. The successful candidate will provide support to study abroad students from the United States, assisting with the day-to-day operations of our study centre located in South Kensington.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reception Services: Provide friendly and helpful reception services, greeting visitors, staff, and students, and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Training and Development: Train student employees to cover reception during breaks and meetings, ensuring seamless support to our students.
  • Communication and Coordination: Respond to student enquiries, communicate with parents, staff, and outside organizations, and coordinate with colleagues to ensure effective programme delivery.
  • Logistics and Administration: Assist with the provision of food for residential students, including making group bookings, creating and tracking dinner pre-order forms, and scheduling grocery deliveries.
  • Event Planning: Assist with student arrival, departure, and orientation programming, and may be required to work overtime at the beginning and end of each term.
  • Programme Support: Assist with programme logistics, including booking tickets, transportation, and itineraries, and may occasionally accompany students on site visits within London and regional day trips.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the Director with projects, editing, and formatting reports and communications, and may assist other team members as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum one year work experience in higher education administration, office management, or an office environment.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, intermediate knowledge of word processing, Google products, Zoom, and database software, and ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines, uphold a professional demeanor and confidentiality, and work some evenings and weekends at the beginning and end of each term.
What We Offer

Starting salary range £29,000–£30,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
