BAM Nuttall is seeking a skilled and driven Project Manager to enhance our dedicated team, overseeing significant civil engineering initiatives across Scotland. Your Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and oversee all facets of the project, ensuring successful outcomes while upholding professionalism.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with all stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Provide operational, strategic, and contractual guidance to the entire project team.
  • Set a strong example in health, safety, and environmental practices through visible leadership.
  • Maintain high standards of environmental consciousness and conduct.
  • Ensure quality delivery through meticulous planning and execution.
  • Mentor and develop key personnel to elevate their skills and capabilities.
  • Manage the project team, fostering commitment, morale, and motivation at all levels.
  • Encourage cost-effective management through efficient resource utilization.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and the supply chain.
  • Promote repeat business by maintaining personal connections with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Establish and monitor a robust cost management system for financial control.
  • Ensure realistic project schedules are prepared, managed, and updated as needed.
  • Implement processes for reviewing method statements, activity plans, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure effective commercial and financial management systems are in place.
  • Oversee site-based appointments with qualified and experienced personnel.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree or HND in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience as a Project Manager or Senior Agent in Civil Engineering contracting.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills appropriate for this role.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the civil construction environment and relevant contracts.
  • Experience in delivering construction projects successfully.
