Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Forestry and Land Scotland. As a key member of our Central Region, you will be responsible for preparing and managing construction contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
- Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation and risk management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors, to ensure project success.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and manage construction contracts, including tendering, negotiation, and administration.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction project management, with a focus on civil engineering.
- Strong knowledge of engineering contracts and project management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work.
- Knowledge of sustainable land management practices and principles.
