Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead in Adult Psychiatry to join our team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hold a General Medical Qualification and be registered with the GMC.
  • Have a strong background in psychiatry, with a CCT in Psychiatry or equivalent.
  • Be able to demonstrate leadership skills and experience in managing a multidisciplinary team.
  • Have a good understanding of clinical governance and the importance of patient care.
  • Be able to supervise junior medical staff and provide educational supervision.
  • Have experience in research and audit, with the ability to supervise junior staff undertaking research projects.
Requirements
  • Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician approval.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to meet duties under the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
  • Additional clinical qualification.
  • Experience of medicine outside psychiatry.
