About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Coordinator to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our Cardiac Research Department, you will play a vital role in supporting the management of research projects and finances, as well as data collection and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the running of the cardiac research department, including management of research projects and finances
  • Coordinate research grant funding calls, monitor research progress against objectives, and monitor spend against budgets
  • Support management meetings, collate reports, and provide administrative support to staff
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with research governance, university, and Trust research structures
Requirements
  • Education to degree level in a scientific area or equivalent experience
  • Experience in research management and administration, preferably in Higher Education, NHS, or research funding body
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of research governance, university, and Trust research structures
