This is an excellent opportunity to advance your social work career with a forward-thinking authority during a period of significant transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Social Work Team Manager in Devon, you will cultivate a high-performance, collaborative environment by empowering your team to continuously enhance their skills, aiming for optimal outcomes for our children, young people, and their families. Candidate Profile:

You should be passionate about relationship-centered social work and take pride in your profession. The ability to reflect and think innovatively about how to assist your social work teams in building impactful relationships with children and families in Devon is essential.

Qualifications:

About Us:

We are on an ambitious journey of cultural transformation, continuously embedding relational approaches to our work. We believe that, for most families, the family home is the ideal environment for children, supported by local, place-based assistance that includes early intervention from us and our partners.

Together, we strive to understand our children better, recognizing their identities and needs to implement suitable support. We take pride in our workforce and the achievements made for children and families in Devon. Our social work teams are dedicated to delivering the highest quality service and are backed by our ambitious culture.

Benefits:

We are proud to provide a supportive and rewarding work environment, as part of a team committed to improving the lives of individuals in Devon.

We offer excellent training and development opportunities, alongside supportive and inclusive management. Additionally, we provide a range of attractive employee benefits, including:

  • Promotion of a healthy work-life balance with flexible working arrangements, including remote work options.
  • Generous annual leave.
  • Free onsite parking.
  • Up to £2,000 annual retention payment (£1,000 disbursed every six months).
  • Dedicated support with regular reflective supervision from your manager.
  • Employee Assistance for times when support is needed, along with various employee well-being services.
  • Local Government Pension Scheme.

Additional Information:

We are committed to fostering a diverse workforce and providing an inclusive and safe environment. We welcome applications from individuals who share our dedication to combating discrimination, challenging inequality, and promoting diversity across Devon.

Our organization offers flexible working arrangements, including hybrid working, part-time, and condensed hours. We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, expecting all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This role requires the ability to communicate confidently and fluently in English.
