About the Role

The Pastoral/Site Manager will play a vital role in supporting students and working closely with the pastoral team to ensure the wellbeing and progress of our pupils. This includes tracking and monitoring student progress, safeguarding students, and implementing interventions to support individual pupils' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with pupils to identify strategies to overcome individual barriers to learning
  • Monitor the behaviour and progress of pupils on targeted interventions and coordinate the development of individual support plans
  • Manage the transition of new pupils and ensure the necessary support is in place to overcome any barriers to learning
Requirements
  • GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade C in English and Maths
  • Continuing and relevant professional development in school
  • Up to 3 years in working in a SEND setting
  • Good listening skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the barriers to learning that pupils may face

Meadowcroft is an independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged from 5 to 19, catering for pupils with a wide range of needs in 4 sites across Wakefield. Our dedicated team works together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.
