We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at Parker Smith Inclusion. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social Emotional Mental Health needs in a fantastic secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic support to students in lessons, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
  • Act as a positive role model, building strong relationships with students and staff.
  • Support students with challenging behavior, using de-escalation techniques and strategies to promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans for students.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs, preferably in a PRU or SEMH school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and strategies, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
