About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our Detail Design Engineering Team in the HVAC Mechanical discipline. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading the detail design and development of HVAC Systems on the River Class Destroyer programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the detail design and development of HVAC Systems, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards, rules, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise to provide advice and guidance to other HVAC Detail Designers within the River Class Destroyer Programme.
  • Work with the Team Lead to ensure quality expectations are met and champion continuous improvement.
  • Act as the main focal point for the HVAC discipline within Detail Design, ensuring best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Check HVAC engineering deliverables and outputs against company and industry standards, rules, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of all aspects of the HVAC Discipline within Detail Design in the Marine Engineering Systems or similar industry sector.
  • Experience in the design, build, integration, support, and operation of HVAC Systems within CAD package(s) (FORAN).
  • Experience in more than one phase of LCM, with sufficient experience of total LCM to enable awareness of adjacent phases/through life engineering issues.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and assist others.
Desirable Qualifications
  • EngTech status or working towards IEng or CEng status (UK).
