Job Summary

We are seeking a Graduate HVAC Detail Designer to join our detail design team working on high-profile marine projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and modifying HVAC routed systems and Bills of Materials (BOM) within an integrated whole ship 3D Model (FORAN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop HVAC routed systems and BOMs in accordance with project-specific quality standards and engineering design specifications.
  • Generate clear and concise 2D outputs from fully developed 3D Models.
  • Interface with the HVAC System Designers and other spatial design discipline teams to resolve integration issues and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Work with information provided by HVAC system owners in the form of data sheets, schematic line diagrams, and equipment BOMs.
  • Read and interpret complex schematic diagrams to integrate HVAC systems.
  • Understand and work with HVAC equipment and parts catalogues.
Requirements
  • Experience in the engineering design process.
  • Proficiency in a recognized Computer-Aided Design (CAD) package.
  • Experience with Bills of Material.
  • Ability to create CAD Drawing outputs.
  • Experience working with part catalogues for equipment selection.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Naval/Commercial ship building.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems.
