HVAC Design Engineer – Detail Designer Role

As an HVAC Design Engineer - Detailer, you will play a crucial role in our engineering team. You will be responsible for creating and modifying HVAC routed systems and Bill of Materials (BOM) within a 3D Model using FORAN software. Your expertise will ensure the seamless integration of HVAC systems with other shipboard designs.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed 3D models of HVAC systems within FORAN, including equipment and routing.
  • Generate clear and concise 2D drawings from the developed 3D model, adhering to project specifications and AERIUS Marine's quality standards.
  • Collaborate with HVAC System Designers and other spatial design teams to resolve integration issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Interpret technical information provided by the HVAC system owner, including data sheets, schematic diagrams, and equipment BOMs.
  • Utilize your understanding of HVAC plant equipment and parts catalogues for accurate selection and integration.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in detail design within the shipbuilding industry.
  • Experience in creating detailed 2D drawings from 3D models.
  • Ability to work with parts catalogues for equipment selection and specification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of naval/commercial shipbuilding practices.
  • Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) and product data management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and other Office Suite applications.
  • HVAC system experience is preferred, although other routed system experiences will be considered.
