Functional Skills Training Specialist

About the RoleThis role will involve the following key responsibilities:
- Training and Assessment: Deliver high-quality training to learners, complete functional skills reviews, and identify skill and knowledge gaps.
- Individualized Training Plans: Develop and take responsibility for the delivery of individual training plans tailored to learner needs.
- Record Keeping: Maintain records relevant to individual learners on our learning management system.
- Software and Analytics: Access and work with BKSB software and analytics as applicable.
- Exam Preparation: Work closely with the Exams Officer to ensure learners are prepared to sit exams as swiftly as possible.
- Training Delivery: Deliver high-quality training to exceed awarding body quality standards for functional skills, in the workplace or remotely using Teams.
- Co-ordination and Support: Monitor learner progress, provide support in completion of exams, and detail, monitor, record, and report learner progress to Exams Officer and Apprenticeship Tutors.
- Administration: Complete all relevant documentation in order to progress the recording of new learners on the programme in collaboration with the Admin Team and learning management system.
We are looking for an individual who:
- Has a qualification or experience in delivering high-quality functional skills training at Level 1 and 2 remotely and face-to-face.
- Has Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualifications.
- Has experience of working with employers in a training or customer relations role.
- Can develop strong professional relationships with employers and learners.
- Has strong IT skills and is willing to work with e-portfolios.
- Can motivate learners and ensure they complete on time.
- Has a full driving license, owns a vehicle, and is willing to travel to customer sites.
- Has high levels of motivation and the ability to use own initiative.
- 28 days holiday and an extra day for each year you stay with us, up to a maximum of 33 days, plus bank holidays.
