Physiotherapist Functional Assessor Role

We are seeking a qualified Physiotherapist to join our team as a Functional Assessor. As a Functional Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing individuals and how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life. You will draw on your clinical expertise to listen carefully and take down each person's medical history before performing a physical examination. You will then produce concise, accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) so they can decide each person's eligibility for benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of individuals to determine how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life
  • Draw on your clinical expertise to produce concise, accurate reports for the DWP
  • Work with individuals to understand their medical history and perform physical examinations as needed
  • Communicate effectively with individuals and the DWP to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Requirements:
  • Qualified Physiotherapist with a strong clinical background
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
