About the Role

At CyDen Ltd, we are seeking a dedicated Development Test Engineer to join our dynamic Research and Development team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the quality and performance of our cutting-edge products.

  • Conduct rigorous testing of components and devices, adhering to established test specifications and methodologies.
  • Contribute to the design, procurement, and assembly of prototype devices, bringing innovative ideas to life.
  • Produce comprehensive test reports, providing valuable feedback to the development team for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate in the development and validation of new test methods, pushing the boundaries of testing excellence.
  • Perform meticulous testing on new products and individual components, guaranteeing their functionality and reliability.
  • Calibrate products and test equipment with precision, ensuring accurate and consistent results.
  • Assist in fault finding and product enhancement, identifying areas for improvement and driving innovation.
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment, adhering to best practices and promoting a culture of safety.

Desired Qualities

We are looking for an individual with a strong technical background and a passion for quality assurance. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's or Higher National Certificate/Diploma in an engineering discipline.
  • 1+ year of industrial experience in engineering, demonstrating proficiency in technical report writing.
  • Expertise in using electronic test equipment and basic soldering skills.
  • Experience with coding (e.g., Arduino, MATLAB) is highly advantageous.
  • A self-motivated and 'hands-on' approach, coupled with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Strong teamwork skills, exceptional time management, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with engineering test departments and knowledge of quality-controlled development systems.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic R&D environment.
