About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Opus Recruitment Solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering cutting-edge software solutions for our clients in the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software solutions using Java, Scala, Ruby, Python, ES6 with React, and C# with.NET Core.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Utilize AWS cloud and DevOps culture to deliver high-performing software and rapid changes.
  • Write and perform testing in a TDD environment.
  • Participate in Agile practices such as Scrum, XP, and/or Kanban.
  • Pair program with team members to ensure high-quality code.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in software development with a variety of languages and a passion to expand your skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders and customers.
  • Eligibility for Security Clearance, being a permanent citizen and residing in the UK for over 5 years.
  • Experience in writing tests and/or TDD.
  • Agile practices such as Scrum, XP, and/or Kanban.
  • Pair programming experience.
