Our Core Finance department is integral to our operations, comprising a diverse array of financial roles that include Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR), Financial Reporting, Taxation, Process & Change Management, Enterprise Risk, Treasury, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Reporting. The group tax function is responsible for overseeing all tax-related matters, including tax strategy, risk management, and compliance. Key responsibilities encompass corporation tax compliance and disclosures, R&D claims, VAT, and employment tax compliance, as well as providing guidance to various business sectors such as Payroll, Technology, Customs, and Finance.

Reporting to the Group Tax Senior Manager, the Indirect Tax Accountant position is crucial for managing the Group's VAT responsibilities on a daily basis. A significant aspect of this role involves preparing quarterly VAT returns for the primary trading entity, ensuring proper setup of new articles, drafting documents on new legislation, conducting duty reconciliations, and addressing ad hoc VAT inquiries. Success in this role requires effective cross-functional collaboration and a proactive approach to enhancing processes in alignment with HMRC's Making Tax Digital requirements.
