About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Charge Nurse to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to our patients and supporting the development of our clinical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses to deliver person-centred care to patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop care plans to mitigate risks and promote patient safety.
  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and leadership to junior staff to support their professional development.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with a minimum of 6 months post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in forensic or secure services, with a strong understanding of trauma-informed care.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong clinical skills, with the ability to assess and manage complex mental health needs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on patient safety and well-being.
