About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Charge Nurse to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Charge Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the clinical team leader in the management of the ward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support junior staff to deliver person-centered care, promoting recovery and independence.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operational Procedures for the clozapine clinic, ensuring the service is evidence-based and reflects recent research.
  • Assist in completing audits to check compliance with policies and advise on action plans arising from findings.
  • Support students within the clinical areas in relation to physical healthcare.
  • Develop and implement safe and therapeutic observations policy levels.
  • Coordinate junior staff and oversee the admission and discharge of service users, ensuring needs are met and relevant documentation is completed.
  • Lead on safeguarding and duty of candor procedures.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with a minimum of 6 months post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in Forensic/Prison setting.
  • Pre-admission Assessment skills.
