Opportunity Overview

Within the Economic Crime Prevention (ECP) Platform, our goal is to enhance community safety by bolstering our ability to prevent, detect, and respond to economic crime. This platform is integral to our Consumer Relationships division, delivering essential services across the organization.

As a Technical Recovery Manager (TRM), you will play a pivotal role in leading the operational aspects of system availability and customer service. This position involves collaborating with the Lead Service Engineer to uphold service standards and ensure the Technical Recovery Bridge team delivers exceptional service throughout the organization.

The role requires flexibility in working hours, with shifts spanning Monday to Friday, including 7am to 3pm, 9am to 5pm, and 11am to 7pm. Additionally, you will participate in an On Call rotation to maintain 24/7 operational capability.

In ECP, we manage over 100 applications across diverse technologies. A solid understanding of Microservices, Unix, and Mainframe operating systems is essential, along with familiarity with the ECP and Payments sectors being advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative environment focused on service availability. Coordinate IT engineers during incidents, managing recovery efforts and communicating with senior stakeholders regarding incident impacts and recovery actions. Maintain a composed and focused work atmosphere, shielding engineers from distractions to ensure efficient operations. Ensure incident reports are clearly articulated to facilitate effective problem management and analysis. Proactively explore service improvement opportunities, including monitoring, alerting capabilities, automation, and operational procedures when not engaged in incidents.

Required Qualifications

Strong leadership and team development skills. Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments while maintaining focus and composure. Analytical mindset with the capability to assess incident data and identify risk mitigation strategies. Proven experience in ITIL practices. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and gain buy-in from key stakeholders. Operational excellence and experience in IT support, with a comprehensive understanding of production environments and system architecture complexities. Relevant knowledge or experience in the payments industry, including an understanding of regulations, schemes, payment types, and industry SLAs.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with modern software development tools, including cloud platforms, containers, and APIs. Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk.

Working Environment

We are committed to inclusivity, striving to build an organization that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our employees to feel a sense of belonging and to be their best selves, regardless of their background, identity, or culture.

Our organization has established goals for diversity in leadership roles and offers various support initiatives, including a menopause health package and a dedicated program for employees affected by cancer.

We encourage applications from under-represented groups and are disability confident, ready to make reasonable adjustments to our recruitment processes as needed.

Benefits

Generous pension contributions of up to 15%. Annual bonus opportunities based on group performance. Share schemes, including free shares. Flexible benefits tailored to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping. 30 days of holiday, in addition to bank holidays. A variety of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies.

At Lloyds Banking Group, we are driven by a clear purpose: to help Britain prosper. Our colleagues are dedicated to making a positive impact on customers, businesses, and communities. You will play a vital role in shaping the future of financial services while benefiting from numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Data Protection

We prioritize your data security. We will only request confidential or sensitive information once you have been formally invited for an interview or have accepted a verbal offer, at which point we conduct background checks. We will clearly communicate our needs and the reasons behind them, ensuring any requests come from a trusted Lloyds Banking Group representative.
