We are on the lookout for a seasoned Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to become a vital part of our finance team. This role is based in a hybrid working environment, allowing flexibility with office attendance.

Key Responsibilities

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will play an essential role within the Group Finance team, responsible for:

  • Leading the comprehensive planning cycle, which includes the annual budget and forecasts.
  • Enhancing decision-making processes by creating, executing, and maintaining dynamic models and process improvements to deliver high-quality analytics, scenario analysis, and predictive planning.
  • Collaborating with executive stakeholders to produce management reports and variance analyses that align with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with finance teams across various business units to ensure uniformity in planning and performance reporting.
  • Executing month-end tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and controls.
  • Overseeing the reporting, evaluation, and communication of financial outcomes while providing insights into business trends and initiatives.
  • Assisting in the preparation of a suite of monthly reports for Senior Management to enhance the analysis of business performance.
  • Implementing continuous improvements to the planning and analysis processes to deliver quicker and more precise insights across the organization.
  • Supporting the audit processes at Tarmac.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We seek a fully qualified ACA / ACCA / ACMA Accountant with a minimum of three years of post-qualification experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.

  • Proven experience in people management and leadership.
  • Exceptional modeling, analytical, and data visualization capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and see projects through to completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid technical financial knowledge, ideally supported by a professional accounting qualification.
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Proficiency in BW and SAP, along with strong Excel skills, is essential.
  • Familiarity with HFM, Anaplan, or Power BI is a plus for this role.
