Job Description

Job Overview:

Adele Carr Financial Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to join our team. As a key member of our executive team, you will play a crucial role in driving the financial strategy and direction of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Strategy:
    • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's vision and objectives.
    • Prepare accurate, insightful, and timely management information and financial reports for management, shareholders, and external stakeholders.
    • Lead the budget and forecasting processes and reporting.
    • Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
  • Financial Management:
    • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
    • Implement and maintain appropriate financial controls and risk management procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain liquidity and optimise working capital.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance cash flow and manage financial risks.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance and mentorship.
    • Continue to drive a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance department and across the business.
  • IT:
    • Develop and maintain procedures so that IT projects are properly scoped, resourced, and implemented.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the executive team and department heads, to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with external partners, such as banks, auditors, and tax advisors.

Requirements:

  • Probably a degree and professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
  • Experience working within international businesses would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in multi-discipline teams.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. A good sense of humour is also key.
