Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial operations of our growing network of healthcare clinics and sister company Ghosh Pharmacy.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Manage the purchase ledger and ensure timely payment to suppliers.
- Implement effective credit control measures to minimize bad debts.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the Group Finance and Commercial Director.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheets.
- Monitor and reconcile supplier accounts, bank statements, and petty cash.
- Resolve internal and external financial queries and implement solutions to resolve disputes.
- Generate reports detailing accounts payable status and implement measures to improve cash flow.
- Coordinate with the external payroll agency to process new hires, terminations, and changes in employee information.
- Ensure accurate and complete financial records are maintained in compliance with UK accounting standards.
Requirements
- Qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with at least 2 years' experience running a small finance department, ideally within the private medical industry.
- Extensive knowledge of company financials and analyzing financial data.
- Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and IF functions.
- Knowledge and experience using medical CRM, payment processing, and accounting software (ideally Xero).
- Knowledge and awareness of collection guidelines, insolvency process, and limitations under PCI and GDPR regulations.
