About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Team Lead to join our UK&I Technology team at Sky. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Software Engineers and Testers, driving technical innovation, and delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of Software Engineers and Testers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure the team's success.
  • Technical Vision: Develop and maintain a technical roadmap, driving innovation and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to engineering standards, promoting a culture of quality and excellence.
  • Recruitment and Talent Development: Manage recruitment pipelines, develop talent, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, dependency owners, and leaders from other disciplines.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading software engineering teams, with a track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical skills, with experience in software development, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business objectives, with the ability to develop and maintain a technical roadmap that aligns with business goals.
