About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Hardware and Software team in our Livingston office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the core technology and activities of the functional engineering team within Plexus Engineering Solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Execution: Ensure technical success of programs by understanding customer needs, staffing programs with appropriate resourcing, and driving continuous improvement of tools and processes.
  • Talent Acquisition and Development: Expand and grow technical and leadership competencies by hiring diverse and high-potential talent that enhances our people, product, and process capabilities.
  • Responsible for Exemplifying and Holding Team Accountable to Demonstrating Plexus Core Values: Leader will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.
  • Cost Management: Drive non-billable hours optimization (NBHO), minimizing administrative tasks and maximizing value-add activities within functional teams.
  • Project Management: Effectively manage team resources and lead company projects and/or PLXS-ENG customer projects to successful execution.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required; a Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Seven (7) years of related experience is required; Two (2) or more years of equivalent industry experience is preferred.
  • Two (2) years of Project Management experience, and Two (2) years' experience with Plexus (or equivalent service industry) is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
