As an Account Handler, you will be instrumental in nurturing and sustaining relationships with our valued clients while actively contributing to the growth of our business through strategic engagement. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare renewal schedules and proactively engage with clients ahead of renewal timelines, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Respond promptly to incoming inquiries for new business and create tailored quotations for prospective clients.
  • Utilize your negotiation expertise to explore alternative options and secure the best outcomes for clients well before renewal deadlines.
  • Oversee all necessary documentation, including invoices and credit notes, to ensure a smooth renewal process for our clients.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling within our existing client base and collaborate with colleagues to enhance revenue.
  • Prioritize client requests and aim for satisfactory resolutions, fostering strong relationships with our esteemed clients.
  • Comply with all regulatory procedures and maintain organized file management practices.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with insurance providers to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
  • Monitor delegated authority under agency agreements and maintain a robust credit control system.
  • Manage an effective credit control process and report as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Prior experience in insurance broking, preferably with a focus on commercial insurance.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of commercial insurance products and providers.
  • Experience in gathering information from clients through various communication channels.
  • Proficient in obtaining quotes and placing business effectively.
  • Strong customer service skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent negotiation abilities and the capacity to cultivate relationships with clients and insurers.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements within the insurance broking sector.
