Position Overview
We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join our integrated team, dedicated to enhancing the quality of foster care practices across our organization.
Qualifications Required:
- Recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent
- Experience in children and families social work
- Thorough understanding of relevant legislation and guidelines in children's services
- Valid driving license with access to a personal vehicle
Key Responsibilities:
This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
- Supervising Independent Social Workers, including Form F Assessors and Panel Members
- Overseeing the preparation of Form F Assessments
- Conducting annual reviews
- Ensuring quality assurance
- Delivering training courses for foster carers
- Managing safeguarding issues and complaints
- Participating in carer recruitment initiatives
The position allows social workers to expand their expertise across various aspects of fostering.
To be eligible, candidates must be registered Social Workers with experience in the fostering sector, having collaborated with foster carers in a multi-disciplinary environment.
All successful candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which will be covered by Polaris Community.
