Job Title: Remedial Engineer

The Hydro-X Group is seeking a skilled Remedial Engineer to join our team. As a Remedial Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections of fire dampers, installing access doors into ventilation systems, and performing repairs and installations of passive fire stopping and fire dampers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of fire dampers and ventilation systems to ensure compliance with BS9999 and DW144/145.
  • Install access doors into ventilation systems in accordance with DW144.
  • Perform repairs and installations of passive fire stopping and fire dampers.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance programs and make recommendations for major repairs to the physical plant.
  • Provide written reports and maintain records.

Requirements:

  • Proficient knowledge of ventilation systems management, fire damper testing, and access doors installation.
  • Ability to work within the guidance provided by BS9999, RRO 2005 Order, and DW144/145.
  • Excellent teamwork, client service, and personal administration skills.
  • Ability to read manuals and communicate effectively.
