Fire Safety Specialist

The Fire Safety Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the physical plant is safe and compliant with BS 9999, RRO 2005 Order and DW144/145. This includes conducting regular inspections, maintaining records, and providing written reports as required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out inspections of fire dampers in accordance with BS9999
- Installation of access doors into ventilation systems in accordance with DW144
- Installation, repair of passive fire stopping
- Installation, repair of fire dampers including ductwork modifications
- Conducting regular inspections of the physical plant as instructed
- Following a preventative maintenance program as instructed
- Making recommendations for major repairs to the physical plant
- Recommending the purchase of goods and equipment
- Maintaining personal equipment & materials stocks inventories
- Providing written reports as required
- Ensuring records are maintained
The ideal candidate will have proficient knowledge in ventilation systems management, fire damper testing, access doors installation, and passive fire stopping. They will also possess strong teamwork, client service, and analytical skills.
