Job Overview:

Hydro-X Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance and Fire Protection Specialist to join our Regional Team.

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum.

Job Description:

The primary role of the Maintenance and Fire Protection Specialist will be to perform routine maintenance tasks on various systems within the facility, including ventilation systems, fire dampers, and access doors. Additionally, the specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition and report any issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To inspect and maintain ventilation systems in accordance with BS9999 standards;
  • To install, repair, and test passive fire stopping in line with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005;
  • To conduct regular inspections of physical plant as instructed;
  • To follow a preventative maintenance program as directed;
  • To make recommendations for major repairs to the physical plant;
  • To recommend the purchase of goods and equipment;
  • To maintain personal equipment & materials stocks inventories;
  • To provide written reports as required;
  • To ensure records are maintained;

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who possesses strong knowledge in ventilation systems management, fire damper testing, and access door installation. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have excellent teamwork, client service, and time management skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ventilation systems management in accordance with TR19;
  • Fire damper testing and issue reporting in accordance with BS9999;
  • Access doors installation in accordance with DW144;
  • Passive fire stopping in accordance with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005;
  • Hold a recognized qualification, not essential.
