Job Title: Remedial Engineer

The Hydro-X Group is seeking a highly skilled Remedial Engineer to join our team. As a Remedial Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections of fire dampers, installing access doors into ventilation systems, and performing repairs and installations of passive fire stopping and fire dampers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of fire dampers and ventilation systems to ensure compliance with BS9999 and DW144/145.
  • Install access doors into ventilation systems in accordance with DW144.
  • Perform repairs and installations of passive fire stopping and fire dampers.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance programs as instructed.
  • Make recommendations for major repairs to the physical plant.
  • Recommend the purchase of goods and equipment.
  • Maintain personal equipment and materials stock inventories.
  • Provide written reports as required.
  • Ensure records are maintained.

Requirements:

  • Proficient knowledge of ventilation systems management in accordance with TR19.
  • Knowledge of fire damper testing and issue reporting in accordance with BS9999.
  • Knowledge of access doors installation in accordance with DW144.
  • Knowledge of passive fire stopping in accordance with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
