Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fire Safety Engineer to join our team at Hydro-X Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and compliant operation of our fire safety systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of fire safety systems to ensure compliance with BS9999 and other relevant regulations.
  • Carry out installation, repair, and maintenance of fire safety systems, including passive fire stopping and fire damper testing.
  • Provide written reports and recommendations for major repairs to the physical plant.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Team to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Work overtime, including weekends, to meet the needs of the business.

Requirements:

  • Proficient knowledge of ventilation systems management, fire damper testing, and access doors installation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent client service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Excellent literacy and communication skills, with the ability to read manuals and provide clear written reports.
  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Working Environment:

The successful candidate will be required to work within the guidance provided by BS 9999, RRO 2005 Order, and DW144/145, and associated company documents, to ensure that any plant worked on is tested, compliant, safe, and free from risks.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, with a requirement to work overtime, including some weekend work.
