Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cargo Handling Specialist to join our team at John Menzies. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for processing freight and mail, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Freight and Mail Processing: Physically or mechanically process freight and mail, accurately completing documentation to record the process.
  • Quality Control: Check freight and mail in and out, including weight and volume checks as required.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload freight and mail as needed.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete documentation to record details and movement of freight and mail.
  • Health and Safety: Take reasonable care of your own health, safety, and wellbeing, as well as that of others, in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
  • Security and Compliance: Be trained to a sufficient security level to carry out warehouse functions and adhere to our Substance Misuse Policy.
  • Driving Requirements: Possess a full driving license, which is desirable for this role.
