About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Antenatal Ward Core Midwife to join our team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to women with antenatal complications, working closely with other midwives, doctors, and support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care to women with antenatal complications, including raised blood pressure, pre-term rupture of membranes, and unstable lie at term.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure a high standard of care and efficient patient flow on the ward.
  • Support more junior staff and students to develop their knowledge and skills.
  • Participate in weekly huddles to discuss patient care and identify areas for improvement.
  • Take on a lead role for the area, gaining a deeper understanding of certain topics and supporting other staff in relation to this.

Requirements
  • Registered Midwife (RM) and eligible to practice.
  • Evidence of further study and development of professional and academic skills.
  • Sound knowledge of recent Government/Professional documents with awareness of implications to service provision.
  • Able to demonstrate motivation to maintain professional development.
